About Our Council

Council # 14392 was founded October 15, 2007 with the aide of Brick Quinn, District Deputy. The council supports the Catholic Churches in the area by their members participating as Lecturers, Ushers, Money Counters, Maintenance Workers, etc. They also support the community through with various projects such as Road Clean up projects, etc. The primary goal of the Knights is Charity, one of their principles, raising money for Alzheimer's Research, Eyes for the Needy, Special Olympics and Mentally Challenged Citizens to mention a few.   

Some accomplishments of the Knights of Columbus are:

1) Having "Under God" put in the Pledge of Allegiance"
2) Child Labor Laws
3) Minimum Wage Laws
4) Supported the "Women's Right to Vote"

Council Meetings

Meetings are held every first and third Wednesday of each month at 7 PM at the Christ The King Parish Center, Route 940 East, Blakeslee, PA 18347. The 3rd Wednesday is our "Social Meeting" and wives are invited. While the meeting is going on the wives can learn knitting for free (all material supplied). After the Social meeting is finished a meal follows.

About our Pastor

Father John B. Boyle is the current chaplain of Christ The King Council. He was ordained a priest on May 1, 1976. He has been a Pastor since September of 1987. His first Pastorate was at St. John Nepomucene Parish in Freeland, PA. (1987-1992). From St. John Nepomucene Parish he moved to be Pastor of Church of St. Gabriel in Hazleton, PA. After two years at St. Gabriel’s, (1992-1994) he was assigned as Pastor of the Church of St. Ann in Tobyhanna, PA. (1994 – 1998). He moved to become the Pastor of Our Lady of the Lake, Pocono Pines (1998 – September 6, 2009). He became the Pastor of the newly consolidated Parish of Christ the King Parish in Blakeslee, and the Parish of Our Lady of the Lake, in Pocono Pines. The newly consolidate Parish was placed under the patronage of St. Maximilian Kolbe (priest and martyr) by the Bishop of the Diocese.
